Marie Winston
Anne
Marie Winston is a Pennsylvania native and former teacher. She began
reading romances a long, long time ago and considers getting paid to write them
the ultimate in occupations. Always a book lover, Anne Marie didn't begin
writing her own romance until 1989, when she was at home with two babies, too
many diapers and too much time to consider insane, risky career moves. She
sold her first book in 1991 and to date has published more than thirty novels of
romance fiction.
Anne Marie's writing career is studded with awards and bestsellers. Most
recently, FOR SERVICES RENDERED (11/04) and THE ENEMY'S DAUGHTER (9/04) appeared
in the Waldenbooks Series Romance List Top Ten the week of their release, while
BORN TO BE WILD (10/03) made the Top 100 Amazon.com All-time Bestselling
Desires. BROKEN SILENCE, an anthology with Maggie Shayne and Eileen Wilks,
topped the Waldenbooks Series Romance Bestseller List the week of its release.
BILLIONAIRE BACHELORS: RYAN (January '02) won the Golden Leaf Award and has been
nominated for the Booksellers Best Award. The same novel was #1 on both
the Waldenbooks Series Romance Bestseller List and the Amazon.com Bestselling
Silhouette Desire list during the same week. Additionally,
BILLIONAIRE BACHELORS: STONE was an Amazon.com #1 bestseller and was a
finalist for the Holt Medallion, while her June 2001 Silhouette Desire, A MOST
DESIRABLE M.D., was a #1 bestseller on the Waldenbooks Series Romance list and
in the #2 slot at Amazon.com during the same period. THE PREGNANT PRINCESS and
SUBSTITUTE WIFE each have appeared at #1 on the Waldenbooks Series Romance
Bestseller List as well. THE PREGNANT PRINCESS was the #1 bestseller on
Amazon.com's list of top selling Silhouette Desires for the twelve months
following its publication. Several of her other novels have claimed spots on the
list and many of her novels have made the USA TODAY extended bestseller list.
A member of Romance Writers of
America ®, Anne Marie also is a member of Washington Romance Writers ®, where
she served as Vice-President and Retreat Chair and sits on the Board of

service to the chapter. She has been a featured speaker at numerous RWA
chapters and at their national conference in addition to many organizations
outside the industry. In 1998, she represented contemporary series romance
fiction in a writing seminar at The Smithsonian Institute.

of four-legged family members. A puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the
Blind, Anne Marie is active in animal rescue and foster care work. She
enjoys performing in amateur theater productions, employs a variety of needle
arts and loves to watch other people cook. Especially if there's chocolate
involved.
